Cvts by design always feel different when you cram the accelerator to the floor.
Subaru car cvt goes into nutral when flooring it.
To me that seems like it ought to improve mileage.
My car won t accelerate when i push the gas pedal what should i do.
Obviously they re failing at a rapid rate and the factory wants to do something about it.
The problem is that 170 hp in the outback cvt doesn t feel like 170 hp.
When the car is in neutral i can go longer without having to use the gas pedal.
When it can t properly engage the transmission with the engine your car shows acceleration issues.
The cvt is either in gear or not in gear.
I have a honda accord 2 4 5mt with 160 hp and it feels way faster even if i use the paddle shifters on the subaru.
So there is going to be some slightly lag from a dead stop because essentially the car is in neutral when its stationary.

I know that the outback is heavier and is awd but still.
